Another thrilling excursion available to visitors is rafting down the Rio Grande, which is credited to Errol Flynn. Two-person bamboo raft trips of 6 miles (10 km) through breathtaking landscape are available from Rio Grande Rafting. The rafts are poled by skilled raftsmen. It can take two to three hours to complete the journey.

A relaxing, scenic bamboo ride down the river. There are occasional slight rapids, but for the most part it’s slow going, and your raftsman is pushing you along with his pole off the bottom of the river.

The water during your visit will be a gorgeous blue, very cool and refreshing to swim in. Your raft captain Neville (#98) is skilled and fun to chat with too!
