Pick up souvenirs and commodities at Ocho Rios, the Caribbean's duty-free mecca, after a stop at a local market. Then, at Dunn's River Falls, ascend 600 feet (183 metres) above the river to explore one of Jamaica's national treasures.
Leave your accommodation and travel to Ocho Rios on Jamaica's north coast. Before visiting Dunn's River Falls, go shopping and take advantage of duty-free offers on wine, jewellery, and fragrances.
Follow your guide through the park to the falls' basin when you arrive. Slowly stroll up the falls with other tourists, helping your neighbour while getting helped in return. Stop along the way to cool off in natural pools or get a back rub from a waterfall, and don't forget to ask your guide to take some once-in-a-lifetime shots. A paved route brings you back down the hill to your starting place at the top of the falls, where you can spend some extra time admiring the park's thick forest and natural splendour before heading back to your accommodation.

Description
Take a lovely journey along the Ocho Rios coast to the world-famous Dunn's River Falls, where you may climb or see this majestic 600-foot waterfall, or simply relax at the surrounding beach. Next, stop by Jimmy Buffet's Margarita Ville for an optional stop, which has a Sports Bar & Restaurant, duty-free shopping, a roof-top whirlpool, water slide, pool bar, and a pristine white sand beach with water sports activities.
With good cause, Dunn's River Falls is one of Jamaica's most well-known attractions. It is a rare sight to behold such majesty in the form of a gorgeous flowing waterfall that empties into the sea. The waterfall is easy to climb and gives a stunning background to an incredible tropical trip. While visiting our island paradise, make a day of it and visit the picturesque town of Ocho Rios.
This destination, located just west of Ocho Rios, is easily accessible by private tour or public transportation. While climbing the falls, the park provides safe, private parking and locker rentals to keep your possessions safe. Most people can easily climb the waterfall, and there is a splash park on the grounds with waterslides and play spaces for small children.
There's a beautiful white-sand beach at the bottom of the waterfall with moderate, shallow water that's ideal for swimming. The falls' base is particularly lovely. Climbing behind the water gushing down from the cliffs above and peering out as it tumbles into the Caribbean Sea is a fantastic experience.
